Volunteer opportunities

Looking to make a real difference in the lives of people with a disability?

Our volunteers are from all walks of life. They come from a variety of backgrounds and professions, and possess a range of skills. Some work full time, others part time, and some are retired.

However, all our volunteers do have one thing in common: they truly want to make a difference in their local community. Their work helps to protect and promote the rights of some of Victoria's most vulnerable people.

OPA runs three volunteer programs:

The Community Visitors Program

The Independent Third Person Program

The Community Guardianship Program

All three programs regularly seek quality volunteers. Each program provides extensive training and support, coordinated by OPA.

If you are interested in volunteering with any of our programs, please call 1300 309 337 and ask to speak to the relevant program coordinator.

OPA is currently in urgent need of more volunteers to join the Community Visitors Program to assist in the northern metropolitan region.

If you can help, please fill in the Become a Community Visitor form online or call 1300 309 337.
