Office of the Public AdvocateMore than a thousand reports alleging neglect or abuse of adults living with disability in Victoria are not being investigated, a damning report has found.
The state’s Public Advocate, Colleen Pearce, revealed her concerns in a report tabled in parliament by the Andrews government late last year.
Dr Pearce said her office was inundated with 1348 calls from the public, but was largely powerless to investigate.
