International Volunteer’s Day is on 5 December, and is a good time for us all to pause and reflect on the truly amazing work that our 650 volunteers do on behalf of OPA. We couldn’t fulfil our mission without them.
Recently, two of our volunteers were recognised with awards.
Susan Zammit, who has been a Community Visitor in the Residential Services stream of the Community Visitors Program, is being recognised today for her volunteering and is being awarded the Boroondara COVID-19 Recovery: Local Hero Award.
Lynn Wallace-Clancy, a Regional Convenor and Board Member in the Residential Services stream of the Community Visitors Program, was recognised as one of 15 finalists in the Rotary Club of Kardinia, Geelong Central and Volunteering Geelong ‘Volunteer of the Year Awards 2021 ‘for her volunteer work in the Community Visitors Program.
